Whitewater guide app mobile application is also referred in this document to as "Service" or "app" ("us", "we", or "our").

If you do not want us to use your location for the purposes set forth above, you should turn off the location services for the mobile application located in your mobile phone settings.

Whitewater guide app may process your Personal Data because:

  • We need to improve the user experience such as showing the content of the app in the user's language (if the translation is available) etc.

  • To let the users add content and leave the logbooks entries

Data Retention Policy, Managing Your Information

We will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. We will retain Automatically Collected information for the time needed and thereafter may store it in aggregate.

Deleting your account

If you need to delete your account and data assosiated with it please open the app on your device, sign in, go to Menu -> My Account -> Delete my profile. Your account and peronal details will be deleted then but the information you agreed to submit to the public domain will stay in our database. The comments you might have left in the whitewater.guide app will either be deleted or become anonymously posted.

If you experience any difficulties with deleting your account, please contact us at info@whitewater.guide and we will respond in a reasonable time.

Transfer of Data

Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of EU and outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.

For example, we limit access to this information to the developer team only who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our Application. Payments

We may provide paid products and/or services within the Service. In that case, we use third-party services for payment processing (e.g. payment processors). We will not store or collect your payment card details. That information is provided directly to our third-party payment processors whose use of your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy. These payment processors adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of payment information.
